Plagiarism Checking Policy

The Journal of Sustainable Finance and Business Innovation (JSFBI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. To ensure the originality and credibility of all published content, the journal applies systematic plagiarism screening as part of its editorial and peer review procedures.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and excessive similarity using appropriate plagiarism detection tools as part of the journal’s editorial procedures. Plagiarism screening is performed on all submissions prior to peer review to ensure that manuscripts are free from unethical similarity before evaluation.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Direct copying of text, data, or ideas without proper attribution
  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication
  • Excessive similarity to previously published work
  • Improper or misleading citation practices

Editorial Actions

If plagiarism or unethical similarity is identified, the editorial office may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Request clarification or revision from the authors
  • Reject the manuscript prior to peer review
  • Reject the manuscript following peer review
  • Take corrective actions in accordance with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Retraction Policy

Manuscripts with confirmed plagiarism may be rejected at any stage of review or editorial assessment.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and properly cited. All sources must be clearly acknowledged, and permission must be obtained where required.

By submitting a manuscript to JSFBI, authors confirm that their work complies with the journal’s ethical standards and plagiarism policy.

Ethical Standards

JSFBI follows recognised international standards in scholarly publishing and adheres to the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing cases of plagiarism and research misconduct.
